Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre is looking for motivated, passionate and dedicated freelance instructors to deliver high quality outdoor sessions for the 2025 season as we expand our existing instructor team.

Qualifications that we are looking for and require prior to joining the team
Essential
- Enhanced DBS (preferably on update service)
- In date First Aid Course (16 hours)
One or more of the following
- Paddle UK – Paddle sport Leader/Coach/Instructor
- Rock Climbing Instructor RCI/CWI award
- Mountain bike Instructor (MIAS 1 or 2)
- Walking qualification (LL/HML/ML)
- Archery GB Instructor
- National Smallbore Rifle Association YPS
- Knowledge of team development and initiative exercises
- Bushcraft qualification / experience
What we offer you
We understand that variety is what draws many to freelance work, but we also recognise the challenges that come with constant travel. Our Deputy Centre Manager, a former freelancer, is committed to ensuring you have a positive experience with us. We aim to offer block days of work whenever possible, full access to the centre’s amenities during your downtime, and meals provided by our head chef, Lesley. Plus, we have a dedicated space for freelance staff to park while on site.
The paid role of our freelance team is £150 per day (09:00 – 17:00)
